English as an Additional Language (EAL class) for young Korean children

영국생활을 처음 시작하는 어린 자녀들이 새로운 환경에서 의사소통이 안되는 부담감을 최소화하며 수업의 효과는 극대화할수 있도록 경험 많으신 한국인 선생님이 수업을 진행합니다.

Reading class

These classes are designed to encourage students' reading and understanding of a variety of different books, and to develop related skills. Open to Years 2, 3 and 4, the lessons focus on each book over several weeks, including group reading, class discussion and answering various comprehension questions. Weekly reading and writing homework tasks will be given, to complement in-class study.

 

Year 4

 English Comprehension Class: Our experienced tutors help children to read and understand a variety of fiction and non-fiction texts. We cover the basics of grammar and punctuation and aim to expand children's vocabulary in a fun and educational way.

 English Writing Class: This class focuses on introducing various writing styles and how they are structured along with necessary grammar and vocabulary skills needed for writing. In class, the tutor will discuss the various writing topics and work with the students in planning for their writing.

Year 5

 English Comprehension Class: In preparation for the 11+ exam, our experienced tutors help children to read and understand a variety of fiction and non-fiction texts. We explore the rules of grammar in detail and aim to expand children's vocabulary in a fun and educational way.

 English Writing Class: This class focuses on English writing for 11+ exams. The students will learn the various writing styles and how they are structured along with necessary grammar and vocabulary skills. Students will also be instructed about how best to plan and manage time in an exam situation. In class, the tutor will discuss the various writing topics and work with the students in planning for their writing.

 

Years 7 to 9
